I started radiation today. My first appointment was at the proton center where I got proton beam radiation. I got there at 10:30 and didn't start till 11. The process itself wasn't long. It was lest than a minutes, if nor second. They needed to position myself and stuff. Then I went home and slept a bit. The next appt was at 6 to get the regular photon bean radiation. The process itself is not painful. Very similar to what I had received last time 5 years ago. Doc said i would start feeling tired in a week or so. So we'll see. Anyway, other than that, things are good for now and sort of planning for my return to school.

Thank you for your advice. What I don't get though is the doctors think, why can't you go back to work??? I feel like saying, how about you take the chemo and radiation and see if you still feel like going to work and function in your normal capacity.
